Description
The very finest instrument we offer to honor the original Cannone del Gesu: personally hand crafted by multi VSA winning luthier, using now extremely rare material ( 30 yrs plus Italian Spruce and Bosnian Maple ) “Photograph” antiqued to faithfully recreate the true appearance of original “Cannone”. Strictly following the old Italian making method, using the inside mold, with matching arching. Masterfully hand tuned and graduated plate and bass bar, to assure the authentic “del Gesu” tone that matched the antique appearance. .
Besides using already “vintage” tonewood, the violin was season dried/exposed under sunlight for 6-8 months, prior being varnished. This is one of the old Italian method only used among elite individual makers, to assure the instant vibrant, resonant tone with depth.
This level private stock VSA instrument has been used by renowned violinists, professionals, and serious collectors. True professional instrument with soloist level power and playability, and still at a player friendly price.
